Instructor: Mick Kennedy
Class: ARCH 509 “Metal Works”

Term: Winter 2025 (graduate semester 2)

Students were asked to design and construct two candelbra inspired by the work of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși. We were given a sheet of 16 gauge steel, a sandstone disk, and pieces of wood which we could alter with a maximum of three cuts. This project was an exercise in how to cut, bend, spot-weld, and powder-coat sheet metal.
